**Grants in Action**
A 2025-2026 grant from the Foundation supported "Art and the American Revolution," a live distance learning experience from the Boston MFA. Following a virtual meeting with the MFA presenter, students participated in a follow-up art experience of block printing in the style of art used by colonial newspapers for communication.

Photos show students drawing, carving, and then printing on a block. Students designed their own block print for use as a personal logo or as decorative art. In an exploration of texture, some students also created handprints using a variety of segmented and repeated patterns similar to European artists who carved in wood.
