Today, on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we’re reminded of the importance of honoring Indigenous history, culture, and the communities whose traditions continue to shape the place we call home.

This week, right here in our own backyard, the Wampanoag Experience Powwow is taking place on October 17th at Round the Bend Farm in South Dartmouth, MA. This is a beautiful opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate the rich culture and traditions of A Wampanoag people through dance, storytelling, native arts and crafts, traditional food, and so much more.

Tickets are just $5 in advance and $10 at the gate. Elders and kids 10 and under get in free.

We encourage our Y community to show up and support this incredible local event. Visit Round the Bend Farm to grab your tickets.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, let’s remember that wellness is about more than just physical health. It’s also about making time for yourself, finding moments of joy, and connecting with others. Whether you’re joining a group exercise class, swimming a few laps, or stopping by our Welcome Center for a friendly conversation, we encourage you to make time for something that supports your well-being.
