While the books are free from Dolly Parton the shipping is paid for by our local chapter, Imagination Library of Greater Kenai/Soldotna. If you'd like to sponsor a local child to receive a book a month the cost is only $31/year!

Last call for past and present Camp Mend-A-Heart campers to join us for a post camp movie day this Saturday September 26, 2026. Meeting at 1:30pm in Kenai, family/parent must attend with camper, all family members are welcome. This event is sponsored through a grant from the Kenai Peninsula Foundation, an affiliate of the Alaska Community Foundation.

Another project changing people's lives: KPF was proud to attend the Annual Kenai Peninsula Food Bank Soup Supper Fundraiser last month.
The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank is an essential part of keeping our community fed.
Keep the momentum going by dropping non-perishable food items in one of their many drop-off locations around town during their food drive September 11th-September 30th.

New Sensory Kits were introduced to CES and CPH Emergency Dept. staff this week!
Sarah Pyhala partnered with the Central Peninsula Hospital Foundation, Soldotna Rotary, 100% Communities and the Kenai Peninsula Foundation to fund a new pilot project she hopes can be adopted state-wide.
This kit includes items that can help someone in an emergency situation with alternative communication options and other tools to help patients deal with sensory overload.
We are happy to see programs we support out in the community making a difference in people's lives!

Doing great things on the Central Peninsula!

It's , celebrating children's books and the importance of literacy and reading! Recent research shows children enrolled in the Imagination Library build strong early reading foundations that help words, characters, and dreams take root.📚

"We have been signed up since our little boy was 6 months old. He is now coming up to 18 months and he loves new book day... it’s helped with his speech and recognition skills. We are very grateful to have this available to us.” (Kristy N.)
