For Tank

Three years gone today. Gone but Never forgotten.

There is always a chair at our table for you, Tank. Your colors still hang in our Clubhouse, and always shall. Three years, and the world is so much quieter without your voice.

You were the kind of Brother who didn’t need to be loud to be heard. You led by showing up. You stayed when things got ugly. You were the first to throw a leg over when a Brother called, no questions asked.

Fifty-six years wasn’t enough, Bro. But you packed those years full. You lived them wide open, throttle to the max, and you made sure nobody in your pack rode alone.

Tank was a wall. When the Bad Moon Riders needed holding up, he was the one with his shoulder under it. We called you Tank because nothing moved you unless you decided to move, except for your Brothers… For us, you’d go anywhere and do whatever needed to be done.

So tonight we raise our glasses to you and tell the Tank stories. We have some great ones, too, huh? As Road Captain, you brought us to so many unexpected places… and not intentionally. We’ll laugh until it hurts, Bro, ‘cause that’s how you’d want it. We miss you like Hell, Brother.

Keep the road clear up there, Tank. We’ll be along when it’s our time. Until then, the BMR have the watch.

Ride in Peace.

Tank — Forever Our Brother

It is with distinct honor and pride that we are announcing, after 14 years from the founding of our MC, our last ORIGINAL Member is retiring from active service, although he assures us that we’ll still be seeing him hanging out with us often… and we’re counting on that.

Scott, aka “Road Rage,” told us just yesterday @ Church that he felt it was time for him to take a step back. The room went silent for a minute, you know? He’s the very last of the original set – a legacy. He has held nearly every officer position in our Club, and he has always meant the world to us. He was the one who showed us what that Patch really stood for – getting through the thick and thin, together. It wasn't just some fabric; it was a promise we kept to each other. Our whole club was built on being righteous, especially when others forgot what that even meant.

As the 2nd Prospect in this Club, I watched him rise to President – my President – and it was something else. I followed him without question. And not for nothing, but after more than three decades of rocking a Patch myself, he is one of the finest to ever hold that position, me included. I remember how he steered the Club through some seriously intense stuff, the kind of stuff that makes other Clubs fold. He taught us how to truly stand up for each other, no theatrics, just show up, no questions asked – exactly how it should be.

The miles we've ridden together are etched into us all, just like his name is and always will be as it is woven into the very fabric of our Patch. We know that it is his chair, whether empty or not, that will set the standard we'll all measure ourselves against. For it was his words, his actions, and his deeds that made this Club a real home for men who don’t f**k around. And that spirit will echo every time we fly our Patch and bring our bikes to life, remembering the man who taught us to ride hard and fly straight, no matter what tries to knock us off course.

So, we'll take it from here, our dear Friend and Brother. We know what a 1% heart looks like when it beats for its Brothers, and yours has always been our prime example.

Much Honor, Loyalty, Love, and Respect, Brother Rage… now and forever, with every mile we've got left in us… We Love You, Brother.

The Bad Moon Riders MC is still buzzing from our 14th Anniversary celebration, and we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who came to enjoy the festivities.

Those bonds we've forged with our Brothers in the Coalition? We cherish them completely. And to all our Friends and Supporters, your presence and unwavering loyalty mean the world to us.

We are truly humbled by your steadfast support through all these years. Together, we stand united — a true testament to our unbreakable spirit. Always by each other, with each other, and for each other.

The news landed after the sun had dropped well below the horizon. It was a great day, nearly 50° degrees out after being so frigidly cold for so very long.

A few cats broke out their bikes to cruise in the sunshine; Those of us that weren’t riding were quite jealous of those that were.

Rob was one of those that rode. He was there. He was digging the ride. And then, just like that, he wasn’t there anymore.

We are overcome with grief. What stays is this odd quiet, and of course, the grief and sorrow. Sorrow stays. It’s personal, communal, and interspersed with pure disbelief.

We didn’t lose just a friend, we lost a dear Soul who meant so much to so many, including one of our own, for Rob is Donk’s Mother, Terry’s, significant other. He was loved.

As the days continue, we will see our social media fill with many tributes, photos, and there will be hot tears shed as they are read. For now, it’s enough to admit that we are deeply hurt… stunned, really. The world feels a little smaller today as we realize Rob is gone. Godspeed, Brother.

My Brother has fallen; Yes, I knew his name. We have not the same parents but we’re still family all the same. He lives in this town, I live in another, it doesn't really matter 'cause this man is my Brother. My Brother has fallen, having done what he loved best, and among the Honored Few, he now stands with the rest.

TWO WEEKS OUT!!!

We've got one Hell of a party lined up. We've got some great chow, good times, and even better music. A Chinese Auction for those who want to bring home some memories of the experience, too. We've even scored some great Harley swag donated to us by none other than Brunswick Harley-Davidson and Spitzie's Harley Davidson! They’ll also be some BMR Support Swag available for sale as well. Donation: $20 pp or $30 pc.

We love to party, and we love to share that kind of righteous atmosphere with y'all, straight-up citizens as well as Patchholders from the most righteous MCs from all around the Capital District, especially the Members of the Troy Red & White Coalition of Clubs, of which we are.

All are welcome, with the exception of those that aren't. No worries, they know who they are - we're looking forward to seeing YOU there. We sincerely appreciate all the Support you've always shown us. It's going to be spectacular! 14 years together, man, and a few of us have been in for much longer than that. HELL YEAH!
