We had another fantastic ski trip at the Rafters and Stratton Mountain. Skiing was great with spring conditions throughout the day. After skiing and lasagne dinner, we then headed to the sugar shack for maple syrup boiling. Fresh maple syrup was so good. Great trip for everyone.

Summit success on Mount Washington! All adults and Scouts made it to the top on Sunday, dealt with the cold and wind the whole way, and everyone is now back home safe and sound. Everyone is tired, sore, and a little beat up, but the feeling is pure joy with a ton of new experience under their belts.

Mount Washington didn't make it easy—those northwest winds were relentless—but the preparation, the teamwork, and sticking together got everyone through. Solid effort from start to finish.

Big thanks to every Scout and leader who pushed hard and looked out for each other. This is exactly what Scouting builds.

The Troop is grateful for the support from families and friends. The next adventure awaits!

The whole crew is set: 15 awesome adults and Scouts loaded up and ready for an epic winter trek up north. We've got our packs dialed, layers on layers, and a solid plan to tackle the summit safely.

A good night's rest, then we hit road tomorrow and the trail Saturday. The forecast looks brutally cold and windy as expected for this time of year—think single-digit highs, strong northwest winds (potentially 30-50+ mph sustained with gusts higher on Sunday), and wind chills way below zero.

We're monitoring the Higher Summits Forecast and Avalanche Center closely (current MWAC shows Moderate risk in upper elevations from wind slabs— we'll stick to safe routes and bail if needed).

This is what Scouting is all about: pushing limits, teamwork, preparation, and respecting the mountain's power. Wish us luck, send good vibes, and stay tuned for updates/photos (weather permitting—we'll post when we can)!

Stay warm down there in CT, everyone.
