We had a great weekend in Gorham, NH hiking the White Mountains. We had 27 people start the Presidential Traverse at 4am Sunday morning, They started their hike going North to South. Group A with 10 people arrived at Mt. Washington around 11:55am, 9 of them continuing on to finish the second half just before 5:00pm with a troop record time of 12 hours and 52 minutes! Group B with 17 people arrived at Mt. Washington around 2:15pm and 11 decided to finish, knowing they started in the dark and would finish in the dark. Group B finished around 9:30pm after 17.5 hours of hiking! They may not have hit all the peaks but the amount of time on their feet pushing forward was astounding! We also had a group of 9 go to Tuckerman’s Ravine. They were also able to enjoy some amazing views, a few skiers at the top, and were a great help with pick ups and drop offs from the Traverse. Congratulations to all for a job well done. Your team work, mental determination and physical determination was tested this weekend and you should all feel successful for doing your part to complete this difficult hike!!!

Our troop traveled all the way to Roatan Honduras for a week of fun in the sun and scuba diving. We participated in 7-8 dives each and many scouts and adults earned their PADI open water diver license. One dive we participated in was a shark dive, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVu3G3ieqfU -link to the video for anyone interested in checking it out. We all had a great time!!!
