Safety Compass Oregon Free & confidential advocacy for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking ages 0-25 in NW Oregon.

Our mission is to offer support for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sex-trafficking, navigating the criminal and social justice systems in the mid-Willamette valley, Oregon. We offer in-person support for survivors, online support for families of missing and chronically exploited youth and adults, specialized training for professionals and community members, and advocacy during law enforcement interviews. We believe that public education increases awareness, resulting in increased victim identification and better intervention outcomes. We are committed to collaboration with law enforcement and social services providers, believing collaboration is the most effective method to achieving criminal and social justice.

Missing Person – Runaway Juvenile

Deputies are seeking help locating Emerson McLain, 11, of unincorporated Washington County. Emerson was last seen around 10:00 a.m. on October 13, 2026, heading west near his school at SW 170th Avenue in Beaverton. Emerson is believed to be with another child reported as a runaway to the Beaverton Police Department (Bentley Blackwell). https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CVZuVufVh/

Emerson is 5 ft tall and approximately 150 lbs., with blonde hair and hazel-colored eyes. Emerson was last seen wearing a blue tie-dyed T-shirt under a green zip-up jacket, black sweatpants, and green Crocs.

Today the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office held a press conference addressing the community about a case involving 32 men being charged in connection to a girl who was trafficked between the ages of 13 and 17.
