Kids are at the heart of what we do…and they’re at the heart of a new early education center Abigail Coleman is opening in Silverton this Septem‍ber—The Learning Grove 🏡🧑‍🧒‍🧒❤️ Stop by our next meeting to hear about how TLG will provide a nurturing, engaging, and enriching environment for children ages 3-12 👧👦 They’ll offer preschool, extended care, before and after school care, and summer programs designed to help children learn, grow, and thrive through hands-on experiences 🤲purposeful play 🪁 and meaningful relationships 🫶 TLG—where little learners grow with purpose 🌳

📢 We’re thrilled to announce that Sheltering Silverton will be speaking at this week’s Kiwanis meeting 🏡🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒❤️ Drop in to hear about the heartwarming journey of KIMBERLY COTTAGE, an emergency shelter for families with children in the Silver Falls School District 🏫🦊 Since opening its doors in January 2026, with the incredible support of the City of Silverton, OR, 100% of the families hosted so far have moved into permanent housing 🎉

Yesterday club president Sarah Walling attended a ceremonial bill signing that codifies Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in the state of Oregon ✍️ Silverton Kiwanis started our local Imagination Library in 2019, partnering with the Silver Falls Library District to deliver free, age-appropriate books to kids age 0-5 every month 📚 Currently we serve 375+ kids, with more signing up on a regular basis 👶👧👦
