I saw this on another page and thought it fits!

🔥 What’s Your Dress Code? 🔥

Leisure suit.
Business casual.
Single-breasted.
Double-breasted.
Tuxedo.

Some Lodges are sharp as a wedding reception.
Some feel like a boardroom.
Some feel like you just stepped off the job site and into sacred space.

And every single one of them is still a Lodge.

Here’s the tension we all feel at some point:

🧥 “The clothes maketh the man.”
❤️ “The measure of a Mason is within the heart.”

Both carry truth. But they are not the same truth.

Clothing communicates respect.
It shows intentionality.
It signals that something matters.

There is nothing wrong with dressing sharp. In fact, putting on a suit can be a reminder that we’re stepping into something bigger than ourselves.

But let’s be clear about something…

A tuxedo cannot manufacture integrity.
A double-breasted jacket cannot install character.
An apron worn over denim can carry just as much light as one worn over silk.

Freemasonry never promised to make us look better.

It promised to help us be better.

The square doesn’t measure fabric.
It measures conduct.
The compass doesn’t check your cufflinks.
It checks your passions.

So yes — dress with respect for your Lodge.

But remember…

A man in a leisure jacket with a disciplined mind and a charitable heart is further along the path than a man in evening wear with ego and vanity.

The outer garment may differ.
The inner work is the same.

At the end of the day, the apron levels us all.

And when the Lodge is closed and the suit comes off…

Your character is still on.

That’s the real dress code.
