Legacy Pregnancy Center is dedicated to helping individuals who are facing unplanned pregnancies. We have a large sign outside our building.

The professionals at Legacy recognize that this is one of the most difficult decisions you will ever make. You are smart, strong, and capable of making good decisions for you and your future. The Medical and Program Staff at Legacy are dedicated to providing you with all of the evidence-based information that you need to make an informed decision about your pregnancy. The Legacy team exists to embrace, encourage, and empower women and men facing unplanned pregnancies. Legacy faith-based nonprofit and is located in Sheridan on Coffeen Avenue between Ole’s Pizza and Washington Park. Pull in to the parking lot and come through a discreet entrance that does not face the street. Legacy does not provide well-woman exams, prenatal care, birth control services, or abortion referrals or perform abortions. For women trying to conceive or concerned about miscarriage, please contact your OB-GYN, as Legacy medical staff do not offer prenatal care, including diagnosing miscarriage or pregnancy complications. For those confident in their decision and resources to continue a pregnancy, we are happy to provide contact information for doctors offering prenatal care in Sheridan and Johnson counties. Hours:

I love hearing my grandlove Jessa’s laugh. That laugh is most of the story, if you let it be.

October 6th is World Cerebral Palsy Day, and October carries that awareness all month. Fifty million people in our world live with this lifelong disability, and still it remains one of the most underfunded.

So much of our energy goes into preventing the heart and the suffering. We get busy and worried, and we miss what is happening right in front of us.

By the world’s measure, Jessa may be suffering. By that same measure she may not be enough, and she is certainly limited. Her parents, and our family, extended family have never looked at her that way, and she does not live as though it were true. If we could have seen all of it ahead of time, the enduring, the grief, and the price of that love, we would have chosen every bit of it to have her.

That is what worth looks like when love is the one measuring. It is how God loves us too. He knew the whole cost before we ever drew breath, and He chose us anyway.

Jessa’s parents never put limitations on her. Neither should we underestimate what every person with a disability can do.

The beauty is in the living, right in the middle of the enduring. In this respect life month, may we all take a closer look at the vulnerable among us, and do better!
