💜 Purple Thursday for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜

💜 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪 𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗟𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬! 💜

We’re encouraging our Sheridan community to wear 𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗟𝗘 tomorrow, October 15, in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

Purple is the color of domestic violence awareness, and wearing it is a simple way to show solidarity with survivors, raise awareness, and help keep an important conversation going.

💜 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗟𝗘 to work, school, or wherever your day takes you!

📸 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗣 𝗔 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢 of yourself, your coworkers, or your friends wearing purple and share it in the comments or tag the Advocacy & Resource Center!

This International Day of the Girl, we stand with the call to end child marriage and invest in girls’ rights.💪

Being a girl should never determine what you can do, where you can go or who you can become.🙋‍♀️

Today is International Day of the Girl, and we’re taking action to end child marriage and invest in girls’ rights.

Wyoming law has exemptions for individuals to marry under the age of 18. With parents consent and a judge’s permission, you can legally get married at the age of 16 or 17 in our state.

Club members display photos of themselves and what they were doing as teenagers to demonstrate girls right to a childhood and why child marriage should be illegal in all 50 states.

As a club, we showed support and awareness for those who have experienced domestic violence by walking in Advocacy & Resource Center Make the Night Bright Walk on October 8th in Sheridan.
