9/11 STAIR CLIMB CHALLENGE

This year marks 25 years since September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed our nation. We invite the Sheridan community to join Sheridan Firefighters as we honor the 343 firefighters and 2,634 individuals who lost their lives on that fateful day.

THE CHALLENGE:
Climb 2,200 steps — the equivalent of 110 stories — in remembrance of the 110 floors of the World Trade Center.

This challenge is open to EVERYONE. You don’t have to be a firefighter, you don’t have to complete all 2,200 steps at once, and you don’t have to be an athlete. Come climb a few steps or take on the entire challenge. Every step represents a life, a sacrifice, and a story that should never be forgotten.

Please join us in congratulating Spencer Reid on his promotion to Lieutenant of B-Shift at Sheridan Fire-Rescue!

Spencer has been a tremendous leader within our department and has consistently demonstrated the qualities we look for in a company officer. His ability to remain cool, calm, and collected during emergency situations is a valuable asset to his crew and the entire department.

Over the years, Spencer has earned the respect of his fellow firefighters through his professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to lead by example. We are excited to see him take this next step in his career and know he will continue to make a positive impact on B-Shift and the Sheridan community.

Please join us in welcoming Josh Wilcox and Shane Censullo to the Sheridan Fire-Rescue family! Josh and Shane officially started their first week with the department, and we are excited to have them on board.

Their journey is just beginning as they head to Cheyenne, Wyoming, for a rigorous 12-week fire academy. They’ll put in countless hours of training, learning, and hard work as they develop the skills needed to become top-notch firefighters.

We know the academy will challenge them, but we also know that the dedication and work ethic they bring will serve them well. We’re looking forward to watching them grow throughout the academy and beyond.

Please join us in congratulating Firefighters Scott Passini and Nolan Leibee on completing their second year with Sheridan Fire-Rescue!

In just two short years, both Scott and Nolan have grown tremendously into outstanding firemen. Their hard work, dedication, and willingness to learn have allowed them to quickly become valuable members of their respective shifts, and both have already had a tremendous influence on the crews they work alongside.

What makes their journey even more special is that Scott and Nolan have been long-time friends. It’s pretty great to see two friends take this journey together and grow into the firefighters they are today.

Sheridan Fire-Rescue is fortunate to have both of these guys on our team. We’re proud of everything they have accomplished in their first two years and look forward to seeing what the future holds for them.

Yesterday, Firefighter Chance Larson officially completed his probationary year with Sheridan Fire-Rescue!

A probationary year is no small accomplishment. It is a busy and demanding time filled with training, evaluations, studying, hands-on skills, and countless tasks designed to prepare a new firefighter for the challenges of this profession. Throughout the year, Chance worked hard, stayed committed, and successfully tackled every challenge put in front of him.

Chance has shown that he has the work ethic, dedication, and determination it takes to be a great firefighter. We are proud of the progress he has made during his first year and look forward to watching him continue to grow as a member of our department.

Congratulations, Chance! We have no doubt you will serve Sheridan Fire-Rescue and the citizens of our community well for many years to come!

Please join us in congratulating Klay Condos on an incredible 20 years of dedicated service with Sheridan Fire-Rescue!

For two decades, Klay has served the citizens of Sheridan with professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to his fellow firefighters. His leadership, experience, and willingness to step up have made a lasting impact on our department.

We are also proud to celebrate Klay’s recent promotion to Battalion Chief of A-Shift! This new role is a testament to his hard work, leadership, and dedication throughout his career.
