Sheridan Firefighters were dispatched to 4 Swaim Road at 21:18 for a residential structure fire last night. E2 and BC1 were the first arriving units. Once on scene, crews found a working fire in the garage of the residence. E2 laid in a 5” water supply and initiated fire attack with the deck gun and multiple hand-lines. The fire was held primarily to the garage with minimal damage to the home and its possessions. We would like to thank Goose Valley Fire, Wyoming Regional EMS and Sheridan County Sheriff’s for their aid with this incident. Proudly serving this community since 1888.

Sheridan firefighters took advantage of the warm weather today and trained on drafting/relay pumping at Mavrakis pond. Sheridan Fire-Rescue depends heavily on the City of Sheridan’s hydrant system but also responds to all structure fires throughout Sheridan County. Drafting allows for an alternative water source when hydrants are not available.

Sheridan Firefighters are currently enroute to a grass fire threatening structures on Decker Road. If you see emergency vehicles, please stay clear of the area.

Lieutenant Mark Galloway had the opportunity to tour our new Pierce Engine at FDIC. We can’t wait to get this thing on the streets of Sheridan!
