There's a Blessing of the Animals in Taylor Park this Sunday at 10am. You don't have to bring an animal to enjoy the service but all animals are welcome. It's supposed to be nice on Sunday, come join us!

If you got extra EBT (SNAP) money for the summer you need to use up that balance by Saturday (October 10). After that it’ll be deleted from your card.

please check your benefits and please please please encourage your friends and family who receive EBT benefits to check theirs as well. Get all the benefits you and your kids have earned!

The next federal fiscal cycle will have many more cuts in them due to the "one big bill" passed last year that gave more tax cuts to the very wealthy and paid for those with more cuts to the food and health care benefits for the rest of us.
Make sure you are getting the benefits you have earned while they still exist.

At the food shelf we do everything we can to try to reduce food waste but we can always learn more. I'm really looking forward to this online challenge.

The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservations is hosting a self-guided Scrap Food Waste Challenge from September 28 to October 17 as part of Food Waste Prevention aimed at helping participants rethink “food waste” and prevent food waste from happening in the first place. The Challenge engages participants with emails on topics like meal planning, food storage, and use-it-up recipes.
