Check it out! A new 501(c) three in Shelby County! Caroline‘s mother played soccer with my girl in high school. Since then I’ve watched her become a mom too sweet Caroline and go on to do great things to help others.

I can’t wait to see what this will bring.

Anyone know a veteran in need?

Do you know a veteran who needs a home repair? Some examples of possible repairs are building a ramp, removing a tub and replacing it with a walk-in shower, new flooring, new roof, etc... You can nominate a veteran who might benefit from having one of these essential repairs done at their home. To be eligible, the veteran would need to own their home and have been honorably discharged (DD2-14 paperwork). There is a short turn-around on submitting this information for funding. These repairs are limited and contingent upon grant approval. If you know someone who might benefit from these repairs, you can email [email protected].

Today, we recognize Katherina for her outstanding commitment to serving Shelby and Franklin Counties!

Through years of volunteer leadership, Katherina has supported hundreds of families with food, housing, and emergency assistance, helped provide school supplies to over 1,000 children, and led efforts that mobilize hundreds of volunteer hours each year.

From organizing large-scale community events to leading charitable initiatives and supporting seniors, families, and those in crisis, her compassion and hands-on leadership make a lasting impact.

Edit:project done and looks great!

At our meeting last week we heard from Young Life and their upcoming summer camp. The question was raised about how to support them and the answer is “hire them for work”. I had a landscaping project that was going to take me forever so I called Joseph. He and one of the youth quickly arranged to come do the work!
