THANK YOU! A few weeks ago, we were surprised with a special note from the dancers at Rising Stars Dance Center who wanted to donate as a group to Jacob’s Bravery Box 💙

We received a very nice message this afternoon from a patient at Children’s Hospital who earned a bravery bag today.

Looking back through posts, we realized that we never posted the drop off pictures from December! 🫢 Please enjoy the final product, 200 bags delivered to be distributed between Children’s Hospital in Detroit, and their Specialty Center in Clinton Township. We hope that lots of kids have been brave over the past few months and took home a special gift. 💙

Something pretty cool happened last month! PBS KIDS read about Jacob’s Bravery Box and reached out to have him interview for a special program being produced for the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

While he wasn’t choosen as the Michigan representative for ‘America’s Awesome Kids’, we had fun doing the interview, and look forward to seeing the show which will feature an awesome kid from each state 🇺🇸

Happy 2026! It’s been a busy start to the year, and we wanted to give a quick update for those who follow along.

Jacob had an ‘extended’ break from school due to an illness that caused his kidneys to go on hiatus. He spent the entire last week of the 2025 school year back and forth between the lab. In classic Jacob fashion, he made friends with the nurses and technicians and didn’t even flinch during his draws!

The new year started off with a dance intensive with teachers from New York - photo of Jacob, his sister Izzy, and his friend Kennedy. He sure loves to dance!

We are looking forward to hearing from new friends who receive items from Jacob’s Bravery Box this year. Thanks for following along 💙
