It was a dark and stormy night...or at least it was forecasted to be! We're going ahead with Not-so-scary story time this Friday despite the forecast- at this point it's tradition! Stop in this Friday at 6:30pm for an evening of stories, crafts, seasonal treats, and if there's a break in the rain- a campfire! The S'more the merrier :).

It's almost time! We're pleased to announce we have another session of "Take-It-Apart" with Deb Sigel coming up this Saturday, (10/10) at 10:30am. You bring the kids, a responsible adult to stay, and broken stuff to take apart. We provide everything else. Shelburne resident Deb Sigel, a former NASA engineer, started offering the workshops 16 years ago to make engineering fun and accessible.

Wondering how to wind down your work week? Join certified yoga instructor Laura K. Meyer this evening, 9/25 at 6:00pm, on a journey of breath and movement in a classic vinyasa class. Strengthen, lengthen, and start your weekend off with a grounding flow. This class can be more challenging, but students are encouraged to modify and make the practice their own. Bring your own mat. This Friday, 9/25 from 3:30-4:30 pm. Teens and tweens ages 10-14, stop in for an afternoon of Magic: The Gathering with friends! Spend an afternoon gaming in the best of company. Beginners welcome to this fun-tween led event!

It’s been 25 years since the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Join us at the library on Thursday, September 10 from 6:00-7:00pm as we come together as a community to remember and reflect.

We’ll be joined by former New Yorkers who witnessed the events firsthand, as well as others who had personal connections to the attacks, for a respectful and somber panel discussion. Together, we’ll reflect on that terrible day and consider where we are now, nearly 25 years later.

Come on down for an amazing circus performance at 10:30am with Tristan Cunningham, try your hand(s) at juggling- and then get ready to dance at 2pm to the Zydeco stylings of Ernest James! Calling all aspiring scientists and those who marvel at the microscopic! This Friday, 8/7, Scientist Janet Schwarz brings microscopes to the library to examine the amazing teeny tiny worlds right under our noses.
