When people know each other beyond a label, a diagnosis, a mistake, or a chapter of their life, understanding grows and judgment loses its grip. Real connection reminds us that every person has a story, value, and a place in their community.

That's part of why events like tomorrow's Basic Pitches Kickball Tournament matter. Sure, there will be competition, laughs, and plenty of questionable athletic ability, but there will also be something bigger happening. People from across our recovery community, local organizations, businesses, and supporters coming together in the same space.

Because stigma grows in separation. Community grows through connection. 🤝
