Preparing the Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals 🩺

Alisha Thompson and Brett Guetans recently led a resume-building seminar for RN and LPN nursing students at Rowan College of South Jersey on April 7.

Hosted through the Office of Economic Development and the One Stop Operator, with Commissioner Joann Gattinelli serving as liaison, the session welcomed approximately 75–100 soon-to-be graduates preparing to enter the workforce this May.

Students gained valuable insight into building strong resumes, highlighting clinical experience, crafting effective cover and thank-you letters, and mastering interview skills—from professional attire to confidently answering tough questions.

The seminar sparked great engagement, with students asking thoughtful questions and taking full advantage of this once-a-year opportunity. The team will continue supporting students as a resource at the upcoming RN/BSN Recruitment & Job Fair on May 7.

Investing in career readiness today helps build a stronger healthcare workforce for tomorrow! 💙

A Great Day at the Mega Job Fair

Commissioner Matt Weng had a great time stopping by the Mega Job Fair last week alongside Director DiMarco, Sheriff Morina, and Undersheriff Snyder.

One of the highlights of the day? Meeting K9 Walt, a comfort dog from Delaware who brought plenty of smiles to attendees!

Events like this play an important role in connecting job seekers with employers and strengthening our local workforce. A big thank you to our Economic Development team for their hard work in making this event a success!
