We would love to have you join our volunteer team to assist us in ensuring honor, dignity, security, and independence for older Alaskans through support services that assist them in maintaining meaningful & quality lives.
Opportunities are available for the Front Desk, CSFP assistance, and we are always accepting leads for programs-including one-time special events, monthly meetings or presentations, or weekly classes teaching an essential or recreational skill. We are happy to welcome you and find a place in our community that helps all of us help Seward and Moose Pass Seniors.

The Kenai Peninsula Borough is aware that fraudulent invoices requesting wire transfer payments are currently circulating in our community.

We encourage residents, businesses, and organizations to stay alert, learn how to recognize these scams, and take steps to protect themselves and those around them as we work together to keep our community safe and informed.

Physical activity is essential to good health. No matter how you choose to move, daily activity supports strength, balance, and independence. This Older Americans Month and beyond, champion your health by staying active.

We have fitness classes available every day of the week at the Seward Senior Center and the fitness room is available outside of regular class time for Seniors to use for their fitness needs.

🚒 The Seward Fire Department has launched the free MyLocalSafety app to help us better protect our community during emergencies.

Residents can securely share important household information, such as medical needs, pets, access issues, propane tanks, shutoff locations, and more, giving responders critical information before we arrive on scene.

The app will also help us share safety updates and emergency information directly with the community.

Download MyLocalSafety today from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and use agency code 816954 to connect with the Seward Fire Department.

Tech Support Scams

Here's how they work:
You get a pop-up or other urgent message from someone saying your computer is infected. It might seem like the message comes from a well-known company like Microsoft or Apple, or maybe your internet service provider. It tells you there are viruses or other malware on your computer. It says you have to call a number or risk losing your personal date.

But is this threat-or their problem-real? Judging by reports to the Federal Trade Commission, no. These are scammers who want to sell you useless services, steal your credit card number, or get access to your computer to install malware, which could then let them see everything on your computer.

Here's what you can do:
1. Stop. Don't call a phone number or click a link. Don't send money, give your credit card number, or give control of your computer to anyone who contacts you.

2. Pass this information on to a friend. You might know these pop-ups are fake, but chances are you know someone who doesn't.

Please Report Scams!
If you spot a scam, please report it to the Federal Trade Commission.
• Go online: ReportFraud.ftc.gov
• Call the FTC at 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357)
or TTY 1-866-653-4261
Your report can help protect other people. By reporting fraud, you
can help the FTC’s investigators identify the scammers and stop
them before they can get someone’s hard-earned money. It really
makes a difference.
