Just wanted to share this, Muncy is one of my favorite stories in baseball. Released from the A’s, on the verge of retiring, went home and started hitting balls with his dad to find his love of the game. He’s now a key player on the best team in the league with 3 World Series champion rings to show for it. A good example of two things.

1. play ball with your kid, have a catch, throw them some balls to hit, it’s a great opportunity to bond and build their confidence.

2. Don’t ever forget that it’s a game, and it’s should be fun. The better you get at something the more fun it is to do and the more fun you have doing something the more you’ll want to practice and get good. It’s a self fulfilling cycle.

The Peninsula Oilers Baseball Club is back and business and in usual awesome fashion have agreed to haul all the way over to Seward to put on a clinic for our up and coming players! All registered players ages 8 and up are encouraged to come down to the field for a lesson from a soon to be pro. GO OILERS!!
