In July, 13 people represented Meherrin on Mission in El Salvador. The team visited Projects from Compassion International and ICM. Here is the video of our visit.

Testimony from our recent mission trip to El Salvador.

Hi All, one of the things I love about Vision Trips is not only what happens during these trips but what God does after the visits. I think you all remember we hired a government military personnel to scort us to the churches. Well, I received an audio from the young pastor of the last church we visited on Sunday (the day it rained hard). He tells me that the following weekend after we were there, the captain (white circle in the picture), showed up for the service. The captain told the pastor he was there the week prior with the missionaries from the USA. And That God had touched him during the visit and felt he needed to start going to church. That weekend he rededicated his life to Christ. The following weekend he went to church again but this time with his wife and children. The following weekend he took more family members to church. Since then they are attending church regularly and are supporting the local church. This is the church Meherrin on Mission is funding to be built! God is on the move y'all!

We are highlighting our “Harvested” MOM scholarship graduates. We begin with Madison Spence
I graduated from the University of Tennessee majoring in Supply Chain Management in May 2024. My dad is Michael Spence and he works for Meherrin.
I work as an Assistant Planner for Belk’s corporate office in their beauty department.
The MOM scholarship allowed me to pursue my education at one of the country’s top-ranked Supply Chain Management programs. This laid a strong foundation for my career that I would not have been able to have without this support!

Day 3 We visited 3 ICM church projects. The first was well established and had many kids. The second project was also a Compassion center. They have strong community presence and are helping to kids and teens with other programs. They cooked lunch for us and the kids had a program for us. The final project was also new church with no building. We walked deep in area to get there as we met under a tent. We’re then greeted with rain. Our group made a preliminary commitment to help with funding for their church building. The first two churches showed the potential for this community. We hope you might consider how you can help this group.

Day 2 has been busy. We went to a Compassion International program in San Salvador. An incredible work going on through the church there offering hope to 561 kids that have been caught in between gangs, parents that are in prison and poverty. Not only do they offer hope through Christ but they are helping train them to sew, woodworking, crafts, cosmetology chocolate making, just to name a few. We also visited several homes of the kids. If your coworker went on yhis trip, get them to tell you about their experience
Tom Stanfield was able to meet a 5 year old boy he began sponsoring last year.

We are so proud of our 20 new MOM scholarship winners. Praying for all 48 of our students as they begin their fall semester.
