❤️ A MESSAGE FROM OUR FARM TO OUR COMMUNITY ❤️
It was laid on my heart to take a moment and let each and every one of you know just how much we truly enjoy being able to serve you each month.
When we see the smiles, the families, the children, and the connections made through the monthly food distribution, it reminds us of our “WHY.” And the truth is—you are part of that WHY. ❤️🌱
However, we also want to be transparent with our community. There is a cost associated with providing a food distribution each month.
Although we are blessed to partner with some amazing organizations and churches throughout Northeastern NC, The Cultivator has partnered with Mt Sinai Church of God, Andrew Brown Family Farm LLC, Sage and Sweetgrass at the Bradshaw House Inc. and the Food Bank of the Albemarle. There are still many expenses that come with making these distributions possible.
Some of those expenses include:
⛽ Diesel fuel and transportation
🛡️ Insurance
👩🏾‍🌾 Paying workers who help make the distribution possible
🛍️ Paper bags, plastic bags, boxes, and other materials
📦 Supplies needed to prepare and distribute food
🌱 Other costs associated with operating the farm and serving our community
We don't share this to complain. We share it because we believe in transparency, and because we want our community to understand what goes on behind the scenes.
Every bag of food distributed represents someone’s time, resources, fuel, labor, and most importantly, a heart committed to serving others.
We are grateful for every partner, volunteer, supporter, customer, and community member who helps us continue this work.

Please support hunger relief efforts in your community.

Food insecurity across the state is continuing to increase, according to an analysis of USDA and Census Bureau data by Feeding America, a national network of food banks. The president and CEO of the Food Bank in Central and Eastern North Carolina, Amy Beros, said statewide, 15.5% of North Carolinians are food insecure.
