Five years have past since the poorly executed Afghanistan Withdrawal at Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26, 2021. 13 military personnel were killed along with at least 170 civilians when a terrorist detonated an IED vest around the crowded Abbey Gate that was the gateway for freedom for many desperate souls fleeing tyranny.

Many people around the world will Never Forget the pain of watching on live television our troops being surrounded by terrorists that we had fought against for 20 years since 9-11. In fact, we watched in horror as military personnel were told by the Biden administration to stand down and that these terrorists were to be now considered our friends. Yet, these terrorists would not stop the killings and beatings of their own people who had saved countless troop lives over 20 years of war in the Middle East. These dear souls now begged for their lives in the sewage canal surrounding Hamid Karzai International Airport from many allied global troops.

Now, we honor the lives lost that tragic day with many events on August 26th, including the TPT9000 Memorial Workout orchestrated by the 9th PSYOP Battalion soldiers at Fort Bragg and supported by The Respect and Remember Foundation that was established on behalf of Army SSG Ryan Christian Knauss, one of the Kabul 13 Fallen Heroes.

Day 3 of Freedom OPS Journey to Remember in Massachusetts today
(@20 mile ruck march for Danny and only about 5 miles for Misty and I so that I could catch flight home later in day)

We started Day 3 in Foxborough, Massachusetts where we ended on Day 2. Very quick morning of walking by beautiful homes, nature, engaging people, and interesting displays. Danny will finish the 20 mile ruck march in New Jersey later today.

Today, I carried a small monument stone for one of the Maine Fallen Heroes ARMY SPC CASSANDRA L. CASSAVANT 1986 - 2007, 21, of Cornish, Maine, assigned to Satellite Communications Specialist, Fort Hood, took her own life on Aug. 3, 2007, while serving in the U.S. Army.
She was born on Jan. 1, 1986, in Portsmouth, N.H., the daughter of Christine and Michael Cassavant. To honor Cassandra, her daughter Chyann retrieved this stone from Fort Williams, the location of Portland Headlight. She loved hiking and had a goal of hiking the Appalachian Trail. She loved to challenge herself mentally and physically, but everything she did, she did with a smile.

Day 2 of Freedom OPS Journey to Remember in Massachusetts today
(@20 mile ruck march for Danny, Dennis & Andrea and @23 mile bike ride for me)

Traveling through several small, patriotic, historic towns by foot and bike really helped me appreciate Massachusetts so much more as a bedrock of our emerging nation in the 1700’s and onward.

I was also quite reflective as I biked through crowded neighborhoods, remote woodlands, updated historic homes of the past, patriotic towns like Canton where Fallen Heroes and Veterans are honored on every telephone pole from WWII and onward, and many relics sitting along the roadways displaying our nation’s roots.

Day 1 of Freedom OPS Journey of Remembrance commemorating 9-11 that occurred September 11, 2001
(8.5 mile ruck march)

I joined Freedom OPS for the beginning 3 days of their 700 plus mile ruck march lasting 22 days that began at Boston Logan Airport on August 21st and will end at the Pentagon crash site in D.C. on September 11th.

I am amazed that military veterans and patriotic people would join throughout the next 22 days to march and bike this long journey through our country from 9-11 departing air flight sites to their later crash sites. These vicious attacks by terrorists on United States soil using our own commercial hijacked airplanes killed 2,977 victims on 9-11.
