Take a moment and think about those individuals that you consider being memorable leaders. Invariably, these individuals possess a wide variety of skills according to their profession. Exceptional business leaders stand out as forward thinking, inspirational, motivational and they are always committed to helping others succeed. In an effort to build a broader base of leaders within our community,
the LEADERSHIP SEGUIN project of the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce was developed in 1991. Each year a group of men and women in our community take up the challenge of becoming the best they can be. Curriculum includes approximately 100 hours of informative lectures and tours in the areas of City and County Government, education, agriculture, health care, communication, media, history, tourism, industry, and law enforcement. Participants must submit an application that is reviewed by the Leadership Seguin Committee. Each class is comprised of a diverse cross-section of professionals from within the community. To graduate from Leadership Seguin one is required to attend and participate in the following, but not limited to:
• Reception for all of the leadership candidates in September
• Mandatory one day, overnight retreat in September
• One full weekday of the month September through May
• Complete an individual class homework assignment
• Identify and complete a Class Project
• Graduation/Recognition Dinner in June
