In the coming days, the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly will be making final budget decisions and voting on proposals for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. As we near the finish line, we are encouraging anyone who would like to participate in a final coordinated advocacy effort to support the budget resolutions that would fund NJ4S for the coming year.
If you would like to participate, please follow the steps below and feel free to share them with friends, family members, and other contacts who may be interested in supporting youth mental health services.
Step 1
Visit the NJAMHAA Take Action page:
https://njamhaa.org/take-action
Step 2
Select the cause(s) you would like to support.
Under Key Issues, you will find several behavioral health advocacy campaigns. The item titled “Urgent Action Needed: Support NJ4S Budget Resolutions in the Assembly and Senate” is specifically focused on NJ4S funding. We also encourage you to consider supporting the other behavioral health initiatives, many of which include advocacy for NJ4S as part of their messaging.
Step 3
Click “Take Action” and enter your address and ZIP code. This will automatically identify your local legislators. You may use either your personal address or the Partners in Prevention office address.
Step 4
Review the prepared letter, select your representatives, enter your personal information, and submit your message.
