Spectrum Works Creating job opportunities for autistic individuals by building inclusive workforces at companies Join us!

Spectrum Works is a unique nonprofit that provides job training and employment to individuals with autism by building inclusive workforces at its partner companies. The training program allows young adults with autism to enter a workplace as a paid trainee, work alongside neuro-typical coworkers, and learn the skills needed to be outstanding employees. Spectrum Works' vision is to implement its job training and employment program at partner companies across the United States and ultimately the world.

“They are like family to me.” “They listen to me.” “They have taught me a lot.” “They are kind.”

These words reflect what makes the work at Spectrum Works so meaningful. Beyond job training and employment opportunities, we’re committed to building relationships rooted in trust, respect, and support.

Our Three-Year Accreditation from CARF International recognizes our commitment to quality, person-centered services, and helping autistic young adults build meaningful careers. We’re proud of our team for creating an environment where participants feel heard, valued, and supported as they work toward their goals.

We’re grateful to our staff, participants, families, business partners, board members, and funders who make this mission possible every day.

This is what meaningful employment looks like.
We’re proud to spotlight Jack, whose journey with Spectrum Works has led him to an exciting role at Blast7D inside American Dream.

Through the support of dedicated employer partners like Blast 7D and American Dream, autistic young adults have the opportunity to build skills, gain confidence, and demonstrate what they’re capable of in the workplace every day.

There are so many ways to make inclusion more meaningful, and our partnership with Sesame Street Learn & Play at American Dream is a wonderful example.

The recent kickoff of sensory inclusion hours at Sesame Street Learn & Play at American Dream was a great success, creating a more welcoming experience for children and families while continuing to expand what accessibility can look like.

Our interns have gained valuable workplace experience at Sesame Street Learn & Play, with some going on to permanent positions and thriving as valued members of the team. We are incredibly grateful for the empathy, understanding, and support shown by the Sesame Street Learn & Play staff.

So, we are proud to be present during sensory inclusion hours, connecting with families and sharing resources that can support autistic individuals throughout every stage of life.

We’re grateful to have partners who continue to ask what more they can do to create opportunities for people to learn, grow, work, connect, and experience joy.

Read our latest Letter from the CEO on the Spectrum Works website to learn more about this partnership and why creating a more inclusive community benefits us all:

Make sure you come out to Sesame Street Learn & Play tomorrow between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM for the FIRST of their sensory inclusion hours! Spectrum Works will be on site with more information about the work we do.

We are so grateful to American Dream and Sesame Street Learn & Play for always being willing to go above and beyond in creating opportunities for autistic children and young adults to thrive.

See you there! 💙

In this month's Letter from the CEO, Ann Marie Sullivan reflects on how the MTS Logistics Annual Bike Tour has become something much bigger than an annual fundraiser.

The logistics industry continues to demonstrate that inclusive hiring isn't just possible. It's good for business. Employers recognize the value autistic employees bring to the workplace, and companies from across the global supply chain are coming together around a shared mission because creating employment opportunities is bigger than any one organization.

That collective commitment sends a powerful message to autistic young adults, their families, and employers everywhere: businesses believe in autistic talent, and when we work together, we create opportunities that change lives.

When we talk about creating more inclusive workplaces, one of the most important things we can do is listen.

Kurt shares what his workplace non-negotiables are, what helps him succeed on the job, and what he wishes more employers understood about autism.

Every autistic individual is different, but conversations like these help break down misconceptions and remind us that creating opportunity starts with understanding. When employers take the time to listen to autistic employees and understand what helps them succeed, everyone benefits.

Thank you, Kurt, for sharing your perspective and helping move this important conversation forward.

It takes a community to create opportunity.

Looking back on this year's Bike Tour with MTS for Autism, we're filled with gratitude for every sponsor, rider, volunteer, donor, and supporter who showed up to make the day so special.

For the past 10 years, this event has helped support Spectrum Works' mission of connecting autistic young adults with meaningful employment opportunities. Every conversation, every donation, and every mile ridden helps open doors for individuals to build careers, gain independence, and reach their full potential.

We're incredibly thankful to MTS Logistics and all of the partners who continue to believe in what's possible when businesses invest in inclusion.

Thank you for standing with us. Your support is creating opportunities that change lives.
