We're changing the paradigm in maternal health. The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey, Inc.

is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our programs support pregnancy and new parenthood; empower communities through outreach and education; engage healthcare providers to improve health outcomes; and advocate for equitable access to quality care. Our programs reach nearly 30,000 people annually. We serve Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, Union, and Warren counties.

October is Lead Poisoning Prevention Month!

National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week is coming up October 25–31, 2026, and we’re getting ready to raise awareness about how we can work together to keep children and families safe from lead.

Childhood lead poisoning is preventable. Throughout National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, we’ll be sharing a Tip of the Day with simple steps and important information to help promote lead-safe homes and healthier communities across Northern New Jersey.

We’ll also wrap up the week with a special video, so be sure to follow along and keep an eye on our socials throughout the week!

Together, we can raise awareness, prevent lead exposure, and help keep our communities lead-safe.

We are so proud to celebrate the 18 amazing families who successfully completed the program! To mark the occasion, we hosted a Family Fun Day packed with connection, activities, and vital information on lead poisoning prevention.

We had a fabulous night at Cinema505 at Montclair Film for a screening of "Fear and Now," a documentary by filmmaker Liat Ron. The documentary highlights the benefits of HypnoBirthing to reduce pain and prevent birth trauma. The film highlights mothers' experiences and the perspectives of health care providers. Mariekarl Vilceus-Talty opened the screening with rousing welcome remarks to the crowd of doulas, nurses, midwives, health advocates, and other supporters. It was an energizing morning of networking and learning more about health, wellness, economic security, and education in Paterson.
