Happy happy birthday Dhiren! In honor of Dhiren’s birthday today, We Win would like to announce our next annual recipient of the Dhiren D. Desai Grant: Daniel Coggins!

His exercise specialist Lauren Van Laethem writes, “It is with great admiration that I nominate Daniel Coggins for the Dhiren D. Desai Grant. Daniel is a stroke survivor whose journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Throughout his recovery, he has demonstrated a rare blend of humility, curiosity, and gratitude—always eager to learn, grow, and uplift those around him. He approaches each day with intention and kindness, sharing his story openly to encourage others on their own paths to healing. Daniel’s respect for his peers and his genuine appreciation for life embody the same warmth, generosity, and authenticity that this grant was created to honor.”

🌟 In loving memory of Charles Dwaye Carter🌟

Today, we want to honor the journey of a remarkable individual who faced unimaginable challenges with courage and determination. Charles was working from home when a sudden incident changed everything. Despite the chaos, he remained conscious as he was rushed to the hospital, where a CT scan revealed a broken blood vessel in his brain.

After a critical surgery and a grueling 14 days in the ICU, Charles continued his fight for recovery. His resilience shone through during his 9 days in the hospital, followed by 3 months at Northeast Rehabilitation in Concord, NC, where he received vital physical, speech, and occupational therapy.

Now home and continuing his recovery with in-home therapy, Charles has made incredible progress. However, the journey is far from over. This grant will play a crucial role in alleviating the financial burden on his family and ensuring Charles receives the ongoing support he needs.

Let’s come together to honor Charles’s spirit and support his journey to recovery. 💙

What a magical night! We Win’s Diwali gala in NJ was a huge success! We had an amazing turnout and there was just so much love in the room. You could feel it in every moment of Dr. Rakesh Kaul’s inspiring speech on generosity, past We Win recipient Eva’s powerful words about her resilience, cofounder Simran Rajani’s uplifting message and throughout each sip of espresso martinis. Thank you so very much to everyone who came, donated and helped make this gala light up like a firework amidst all this darkness. ✨

His therapist at Back to Independence Rehab Darci Pernoud says, “Brian goes above and beyond his own journey by personally engaging with and reaching out to the community members who come to our gym. He genuinely cares about how they’re doing and has been known to follow up and check in with them. His outreach shows he’s truly interested in their well-being, and he’s always a cheerleader for each individual’s personal recovery journey. Whether it’s during workouts or in conversation, Brian’s support makes a real difference.”
