West Seattle Bike Connections An all-volunteer community organization for safe streets for walking and biking in West Seattle. Nick Halden, Secretary and webmaster.

Goals
Make cycling a safer, efficient and attractive option for travel to downtown and for destinations in and beyond West Seattle neighborhoods, for riders of all ages and abilities. Help connect West Seattleites to school, work, transit, shopping areas, friends/family and recreation by bicycle. Give West Seattle a strong voice in the Seattle Bike Master Plan implementation. epartment of Transportation (SDOT), the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), King County Metro, the Port of Seattle and other groups (governmental, private and non-profit) interested in providing alternatives to driving; emphasize positive impact of cycling on freight mobility

WSBC leader Kate Wells was among those stopping in today at SDOT's pop-up on SW Lander between California Ave SW and 45th SW, at Lafayette School and The Good Society brewpub. Diane Walsh and Ian Macek from SDOT were inviting community input and discussing concepts.
