West Seattle Garden Tour

West Seattle Garden Tour Welcome to the West Seattle Garden Tour! Save the Date for one of the regions most spectacular garden tours: June 23, 2024.

The West Seattle Garden Tour (WSGT) is one of the premier garden tours in the Northwest, as well as a fundraiser for local non-profits promoting horticulture, education or the arts. WSGT selects gardeners in West Seattle who agree to open their beautiful properties for public tours. Our fans look forward to a wide diversity of garden sizes and styles, from tiny pocket gardens to fabulous waterfron

t properties. WSGT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organized by a group of dedicated volunteers who meet every month to produce the tour. Annually WSGT donates about $25,000 to local beneficiaries. Past beneficiaries include West Seattle Tool Library, Barton Street P-Patch Community Garden, Solid Ground-Lettuce Link, Southwest Seattle Historical Society, West Seattle Farmers Market, Plant Amnesty, Seattle Children’s PlayGarden, Seattle Chinese Garden Society, Kubota Garden, City Fruit, West Seattle Bee Garden, and ArtsWest, among many others.

Welcome to the 30th anniversary of the West Seattle Garden Tour! This year the tour features twelve unique and wonderful gardens. Garden F – Transformation
The front garden hosts a variety of trees, including paperbark and coral bark maples, Kousa dogwood, columnar apple trees, spruce and deodar cedar, and a Lion’s Head maple known for its crinkled leaves.

2026 Grant Winners
We are proud to present the nine nonprofit organizations selected to receive a total of $49,000 in West Seattle Garden Tour grants this year. Please visit their websites to learn more.

The Whale Trail
The Whale Trail maintains a series of sites to watch orcas or other marine mammals from shore along the Puget sound and the Pacific coast. In 2002, founder Donna Sandstrom was a community organizer in the successful effort to return an orphaned orca to her pod. With support from WSGT, Donna will share Springer’s inspiring story with West Seattle schools—how it led to starting The Whale Trail, and what students can do to help southern resident orcas today.
