We wanted to give a HUGE shout out to Putnam Count Bank, City National Bank, and Alex and Ethan from King Quality Construction for all the AMAZING SUPPORT AND HARD WORK yesterday!! The trail looks better than is has is quite some time! With the new access point to the trail, the full vision of this amazing nature park is coming to life little by little!

PCB was proud to participate in United Way’s Day of Caring at the Ester and Norman Walter Nature Preserve. Our volunteers spent the day clearing trails, trimming overgrowth, helping install new steps at the trailhead, assembling and painting a new tool cabinet, and pitching in with other cleanup and maintenance projects.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to get out in the community, work together, and lend a hand where it’s needed. Thank you to United Way for organizing such a meaningful day!

A small community. A historic highway. A beautiful park. And an opportunity to build something that will last for generations.

Along West Virginia’s historic Route 62 sits Mitchell’s Grove Roadside Park in Hometown—a small community with tremendous heart and a beautiful setting along the Rivers to Ridges Heritage Trail Scenic Byway.

Today, the park’s aging playground is ready for a new chapter.

Rivers to Ridges Heritage Trail, Inc. wants to help make that happen.

We are launching a community-wide campaign to replace the existing playground with a brand-new play area where local children can run, climb, swing, explore, and make memories—and where families traveling Route 62 can stop, rest, and enjoy a welcoming community park.
