On June 20, 23 West Virginia athletes will join over 3,000 other athletes from across the country and begin competing in the 2026 Special Olympic Games in Minnesota.

As we close the books on the 2026 Summer Games & the 2025-26 sports season, we want to take a moment to thank all of our athletes, Unified partners, coaches, family members, event volunteers & sponsors, as well as our own family & friends who continue to support Special Olympics WV, on a job well done. 🥳

Wheels up to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games! ✈️

16 members of Team WV are flying on the Textron Aviation Special Olympics Airlift, departing June 19 from Charleston’s Capital Jet Center and headed to Minnesota. Thank you to the many Cessna & Beechcraft pilots for making this possible. Wish them luck and drop your cheers below! 💙❤️

We ♥️ our Guard family and also all volunteers who helped make a memorable experience for our athletes. From parents to coaches to athletes themselves, they worked hard for this moment and we hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
