Welcome to the 2026-27 Cub Scout year, Pack 3054!

This past weekend some of our Cubs headed to the council's Harvest Festival at Camp Wakpominee. Just about every station was taught by a Scout from Troop 3054, so our Cubs spent the weekend learning from the kids they'll be in a few years. A huge thank you to Julie Yanson, our Committee Chair, for hosting and serving as camp leader.

Tomorrow night we're back at it with a den meeting, and this one includes our Lions (kindergarten) and Tigers (1st grade).

New to Cub Scouts? A den meeting is the best way to see what it's all about. Your child meets with a small group of kids in their grade, led by a den leader, and works on their next adventure. Lions and Tigers come with a parent, so you'll see it firsthand.

Both Pack 3054 and Troop 54 made Twin Rivers Council's 100% Trained Unit board this month.

That means every registered adult leader in both units has finished the training for their position. It isn't a box we had to check, and plenty of volunteers are still working on theirs across the council. Our leaders put in the hours on their own time because they want to do this right for your kids.

So, thank you to every one of them. And if you're a parent who's ever wondered who's actually running things on a campout or at a den meeting, now you know.

If you're meeting us tonight at the Jefferson open house, stop by the table near the PTO office and say hi.

Two weeks from now, there's a whole weekend of camp waiting for the Cubs.

The Cub Scout Harvest Festival runs Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 4 at Camp Wakpominee in Fort Ann. Cubs come with their families, sleep in tents or lean-tos, and eat in the dining hall. Shooting sports, fishing, nature walks, and a campfire program Saturday night. Programming rotates by age, so if you can swing the full weekend, your Cub gets the whole thing.

Here's the part we're proud of. Twin Rivers Council has our Scouts from Troop 3054 come and teach. Our guys will be running stations for Cubs from across the council: fire building, first aid, and the camp skills they've spent years learning. That's how this program has always worked. The older Scouts teach the younger ones, and both of them grow out of it.

If you've got a Cub Scout, come camp with us. If you've got a kid who isn't in Scouting yet and you've been wondering what it's actually like, this is the weekend to find out.

Registration closes Sunday, September 27.
