May is National Foster Care Awareness Month.

On any given day, there are over 330,000 children in the U.S. foster care system.

This month, let’s do more than simply acknowledge it.
Let’s spread awareness.
Let’s educate our communities.
Let’s advocate for children whose voices too often go unheard.
Let’s support biological families working to reunify.
Let’s encourage foster families carrying heavy responsibilities behind closed doors.
& let’s stop standing on the sidelines while children grow up in uncertainty.

Foster care awareness should move us to action.

We've been pretty quiet on social media for the last few months. It's very much a "sorry, not sorry" ordeal though. While we've been working hard behind the scenes for Revival Rack, our family has been in FULL-ON life mode. Many of you know that in October we welcomed 2 foster kiddos into our already busy home. We expected an adventure - what we got was a whirlwind! Now we're a house of 4 boys - ages 11, 12, 14, and 16. We have prior foster care experience, so we didn't go in blindly, but some things you just can't be prepared enough for. We've poured love, structure, and new experiences into their lives, but also had to build social skills from the ground up. That takes time and a whole lot of patience. In return, we've witnessed some pretty spectacular accomplishments! Everyone in our home does Martial Arts and the new boys are thriving in taekwondo - they've even earned some medals at a couple of tournaments!!! They've made friends at school and on the soccer field, and we honestly couldn't be more proud of their journey. We're also amazingly proud of our own boys who eagerly welcomed new kids into their home and shared the love of their parents once again. It's been an adjustment to say the least, and we're excited to see where this journey takes us.

In the background, Revival Rack has never stopped moving and we've been actively preparing some exciting new events that align with our mission of empowering the community. Stay tuned and we'll let you know when and where to find our FABULOUS AFFORDABLE FASHION around the Savannah area. We have some great ideas brewing for self-defense seminars as well. 💪❤️🖤
