Red Clay Animal Rescue Savannah, GA Red Clay Animal Rescue is a small but powerful force in the collective effort to end pet homelessness and suffering in the Savannah area.

We are a licensed nonprofit organization. We provide care on a small scale to homeless animals with treatable injuries or illnesses, as well as seniors, usually from within the regional shelter system, who would otherwise be euthanized. Additional priorities include facilitation of animal transfers and transports (from high kill/poor live release rate facilities to facilities and rescues with very high adoption rates, often in other states). These transfers very frequently require that the pets receive some medical intervention (sterilization, infectious disease testing, vaccinations) before transfer/transport.

100% of your donations will be used for homeless animals in need.

Salem is a very friendly 4-5 month old male neutered kitten available for adoption. He was pulled from animal control with a severe injury to his left hind leg, and he had to have a surgery called an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) to fix it. The procedure went great and he’s ready to find a loving home. Salem is a confident kitten who seems to believe he is a dog. He gets along great with other animals and people. He is up to date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Please contact us with any questions or interest in this great kitten.

These cats were adopted from us as cute little kittens three years ago. The adopter attempted to dump them at the humane society but the staff at the humane society contacted us (thank you). The adopter is moving, and they cannot come. They have received zero veterinary care in the 3 years they were with that person, and he hasn’t checked on them once since surrendering them.
Ellie and Hazel were extremely traumatized at first and it has taken a couple of weeks for them to start eating again and stop hiding. Hazel is very shy. Ellie is coming out for attention now and is affectionate.
If anyone is interested in giving these sisters a second chance please contact us. A long term foster situation is also welcome, because it isn’t easy to adopt out adults in our area.

ADOPTED Arrow is a 1yr old male neutered cat available for adoption. He was shot with an arrow by an unknown psychopath last weekend, but incredibly sustained minimal serious injuries. He's healed from his surgery and is off of all medications. He is a very friendly cat but he hid under my bed for 3 days when first home from the hospital. Unsurprisingly, it takes him a minute to trust.
He is looking for an indoor only home with a loving person who will treat him the way he deserves to be treated for the rest of his life.

FOSTER FOUND

Pete is losing his foster home, if anyone is available to foster (or better yet adopt him), please contact us ASAP.

Pete was pulled from animal control as a kitten, adopted in Massachusetts, returned to do a human's allergies, and traveled back to Georgia. Here is his bio:

Pete is a very shy boy, but once he gets to know you he is very loyal and quirky! While he takes time to adjust to new surroundings and people, his personality soon shines through. He is quite goofy, loves to communicate through grumbling, and you will be his personal head rest. Pete loves to play with his toys and with you. He has a tendency to give love bites when he believes he needs more pets so he would do best in a home with no children. Pete does well with other cats! He is a great companion and so deserving of a second chance!

Please email [email protected] with any questions or interest in Junior!!

8-year old male neutered front declawed cat seeking immediate adoption or long term foster. He is reported to be very friendly. His owner died and the family member currently housing him may have to euthanize him. Please contact me if you'd like to adopt this cat, or can provide a foster home longer term (it tends to take a while to adopt out senior animals).

8PM update: he made it! He's in recovery and the surgery went great. Incredibly, none of his internal organs were damaged and he should be fine now that the arrow is out. Thank you to everyone who donated.
