A gentle reminder that we are still accepting donations of the infamous squishy dumplings and any other squishy type of fidget toys. There is truly nothing like the way a child's face lights up when we hand them a novelty comfort item following their services with us. We rely heavily on community donations to make these bright little moments possible!

If you would like to contribute in any way, please feel free to utilize our Amazon wish list https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/37EXT2VQC10V?ref_=wl_fv_le or drop off a donation at any of our two locations.

Note: If you are wanting to make an in-person drop off, please call the center you wish to visit to set up a time as our schedules can be unpredictable at times! We appreciate you!

The Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center is hosting a Dumpling Fidget Drive to help bring comfort, calm, and a little joy to children visiting our center.

Small sensory items like dumpling fidgets and other squishy toys can make a big difference for children during difficult moments. These comfort items help kids feel safer, supported, and more at ease while receiving services.

We are currently collecting:
• Dumpling fidgets
• Squishy sensory toys (like NeeDoh's)
• Other soft/calming fidgets

If you’d like to help, you can donate directly through our Amazon Wishlist here:

Every donation helps us create comforting moments for the children and families we serve. Thank you for supporting our mission and helping children feel cared for when they need it most!

We want to send a heartfelt thank you to Josef Soper from Imagination Dollhouse for donating a dollhouse to the CAC 💙

Gifts like this help create moments of play, comfort, and connection for the children we serve. It’s more than just a toy—it’s a way for kids to feel safe, express themselves, and just be kids.

Thank you for your generosity and for helping make our space even more welcoming!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. In our line of work, mental health is a consistent theme that we aim to prioritize each day.

We hope to inspire you to choose yourself a little bit more, especially during this month.

Further, to remind ourselves that the path to healing is not linear. When we support each other, we can have more good days, together. 💚

On behalf of the entire staff at the Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center, we are wishing our law enforcement partners a happy National Police Week!

Much of the work we do would not be possible without our partner law enforcement agencies. We are grateful for the work you do each and every day for the individuals and families of our communities.
