Junior Achievement SpaceCoast

Junior Achievement SpaceCoast JA inspires students to develop competitive skills and confidence. Their success bolsters the local workforce and contributes to economic growth.

Junior Achievement of the Space Coast (JASC) is working to build a better Brevard through our volunteer-delivered, K-12 programs that foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills. Through an innovative partnership between the business community, educators, and volunteers, Junior Achievement of the Space Coast helps young people connect with relevant learning and the impor

tance of staying in school, building a bridge between what kids learn in the classroom to how it is applied in the real world. JA empowers Brevard County young people to own their economic success.

🔨 Partnership in action!

JASC was proud to join NAWIC Space Coast 355 and the Viera High School Carpentry Academy for the Construction Career Camp for Girls — a hands-on camp, introducing middle school girls to careers and construction.

The girls stepped away from the technical skills for a bit to dig into something just as important: the soft skills that drive a career. Through interactive, scenario based activities, Bianca and Rose from JASC led them through communication, collaboration, and critical thinking — and why these skills matter, since research consistently points to them as a major driver of long-term career success.

Strong futures are built on more than tools. 💪

🛬Our JASC teams are heading home from Boston today, and we couldn’t be prouder! These students worked so hard to prepare for the Future Bound by Junior Achievement competitions, and they represented the Space Coast beautifully. 🚀

📉In the JA Stock Market Challenge, team Sophrosyne Advisors from Viera High School faced 32 teams in a 90 minute investing simulation – each minute standing in for a day on the market. They climbed to 2nd place early, dropped to 23rd by day 24, then battled all the way back to 7th by day 70. That comeback earned them, the Resilience Award presented by RSM.🏆

In the JA Social Innovation Challenge, Manatee Monitor, and Forget-Me-Not, from Bayside High School presented their business ideas with passion, poise, and real knowledge under the judges’ questions.

🚨Manatee Monitor was selected to interview for the Chick-fil-A community impact award for their innovative manatee alert system.

💜Forget-Me-Not earned 2nd place overall (out of 14 teams) for a reminder, device and app to support the millions living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease – and their caregivers.🏆

None of this happens without our educators, volunteers, and donors. A special thank you to Aaron Mitchell and Kevin Black for bringing JA Take Stock in Your Future and JA Be Entrepreneurial to your students.

To every volunteer who mentored and every donor who believed – your impact is beyond measure.

Congratulations to Nicole, Kloe, Haley, Alina, Razz, Carson, Michael, and Richard. We are so proud of you. Your future is bright.✨
