It’s that time of year again! We are two months out from our annual Sun, Sand, and Surf event! This is a free, fun, family-friendly event that promotes Surfrider’s mission of the protection and enjoyment of the world, ocean, waves, and beaches for all people!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 8, 2026! We will be hosting a beach clean up, a yoga session led by Equilibrium Movement and DJ Shewxlf, a log-jam surf competition with Canaveral Surf giving lessons, and a raffle for our attendees!

Do you have a local business and want to get involved? We are still looking for event vendors, sponsors, and donations for our raffle! Send us a DM to learn more.

🌊 Join us for our September Meet the Candidates Forum! 🌊

On Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 PM, Space Coast Surfrider Foundation will host a public forum featuring 4–5 candidates running for Cocoa Beach City Commission at The Tiny Turtle Restaurant.

Come hear directly from the candidates, learn where they stand on issues impacting our community, and ask questions that matter to you. This is an opportunity to get informed ahead of the election and engage in a positive, constructive conversation about the future of Cocoa Beach.

🌊 Florida Climate Week is back for year six! 🌊

This is a statewide celebration of climate action, education, and community power, and we’re proud to be part of it. All week long you can join expert-led virtual sessions, connect at community events, and find real ways to take action for a more resilient Florida.

One way to jump in with us: join our Ocean Friendly Gardening event at the OFG in William Dewey Park! 🌱 We’ll be working in the garden, talking about why green spaces matter for resilient communities, and sharing tips you can take home to your own backyard.

We had some amazing cleanups this summer! 🌊☀️
Our July cleanup at Spessard Holland South collected an incredible 40.4 pounds of trash, followed by 30.2 pounds collected at Pelican Beach Park during our August cleanup! 💪🗑️

A huge thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers who braved the summer heat to help keep our coasts clean. Your hard work makes a difference! 💙
