The Satellite Instrumental Music Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the students and directors of the Instrumental Music Program at Satellite High School. If you are the parent or guardian of a student enrolled in the Instrumental Music Program at Satellite, you are a member of SIMF and we invite you to join us at our meetings and be actively involved in voluntee
ring for various activities. SIMF Supports the instrumental music program in the following ways:
• Uniform fittings, ordering, maintenance
• Program Registration
• Chaperone Support
• Event Support
• Fundraising for trips, uniforms, program needs, etc.
• Parent communication and organization
Over the past few years SIMF has supported the instrumental music program in many different ways. Here are a few things SIMF has accomplished through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers:
• Purchasing new instruments for the program
• Funded repairs to various equipment
• Funded repairs to our equipment trailer
What we encourage from our members:
Come to our parent meetings and monthly board meetings. Attending these meetings allows you to stay informed and voice your opinions. We would like each parent/guardian to volunteer for at least one Fall and one Spring event. Volunteers serve as chaperones, assist with planning activities like our Chili Dinner, Directors/Judges Dinner, Picnic, and Awards Banquet, and actively participate in our fundraising activities.
