🎉 The incredible milestones continue at OMI this week!

On October 24th, Bridget officially hit 30 years with us. Back in 1996, she started out handling the billing in our finance department, and she is still the reliable anchor keeping everything running smoothly today.

What makes Bridget so special is how much she truly cares about our mission and the people we serve. She has the perfect mix of finance expertise and a genuine heart for what we do.

While she's on the quieter side, she’s an absolute goldmine of OMI history—and if you ever get her talking, she has some of the best stories about how we got started! Through decades of changes and shifting times, she has stuck with us through it all.
Bridget, we are so incredibly grateful for your dedication and everything you bring to the team. Thank you for 30 wonderful years! 💙

🎉 Happy 20th Work Anniversary Nic! 🎉

Today marks an incredible milestone as we celebrate Nic’s 20th work anniversary! Twenty years ago today, he first walked through our doors at Opportunity Matters as a Direct Support Professional.

Two decades later, he’s still here making a massive impact, and helping our Behavior Consulting Service thrive. If you know Nic, you know he brings so much heart, patience, dedication, and humor to this work every single day.

His real focus has always been making sure the individuals he supports feel heard, understood, and appreciated. Over the last 20 years, he's learned a lot about what connects us all. As Nic beautifully put it: "We all, more or less, have the same needs: purpose, affiliation, and satisfaction. How we go about satisfying those needs is what makes us individuals."

Nic, you’re living proof of that Pericles quote you live by: “What you leave behind is not engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.” You have truly woven your dedication into the lives of our families and community over the last two decades. We are so incredibly lucky to have you. Thank you for everything you do! 💙

A Huge Thank You to Our Day of Caring Volunteers! ❤️🔨🌱

We are feeling so incredibly grateful after last week! A massive shout-out to the amazing group of volunteers who stepped up through the United Way of Central Minnesota Day of Caring. Your hard work and energy spruced up a couple of our homes last week.

Thanks to this incredible team, we were able to:
• Give one of our fences a fresh, beautiful new coat of paint
• Split and replant our greenery to help our gardens thrive
• Lay down fresh mulch to beautify and protect our homes

It is amazing what can happen when our community comes together to give back. Thank you all for donating your time, getting your hands dirty, and making our homes a brighter, more beautiful place to live! We also want to extend a huge thank you to the team United Way of Central Minnesota for connecting us with such a passionate group of hard workers.

A few weeks ago, a group of our individuals headed out to the Minnesota State Fair for a day full of sunshine, great laughs, and unforgettable memories! Our individuals and staff had an absolute blast sharing laughs and making memories together.

Meet Tasha Folk, our Lead Program Director! 💙

For Tasha, working in community residential services isn't just a job—it’s a passion that runs in the family. Inspired by her aunt’s long career at OMI, Tasha joined us as a Direct Support Professional. Today, she leads our programs with patience, compassion, and a deep commitment to making sure every individual feels safe, valued, and at home.

When she isn't busy empowering her team and creating positive impacts, Tasha is checking destinations off her bucket list—she has already traveled to 32 U.S. states and aims to hit all 50 before she turns 40! 🗺️

We are so grateful for Tasha’s dedication and the genuine care she brings to OMI every single day.

☀️ Wow, this summer is absolutely flying by! We’ve been so busy making memories that we still have so many amazing highlights left to share—starting with our trip to the fair last last month! 💨📸

Our individuals had an absolute blast at their favorite annual tradition—the Benton County Fair! 🎡✨

From checking out the farm animals and viewing the community exhibits, a great time was had by all! 🚜🐐 Of course, no fair trip is complete without the ultimate summer treats. Everyone enjoyed some delicious food and cooled off with some tasty ice cream. 🍦

Even though the season is moving fast, we are so grateful for our amazing staff and the wonderful group of individuals who make every outing so much fun. We're still smiling looking back at these photos! 👇

🌲✨ CAMP CONFIDENCE ADVENTURES! ✨🌲
Everyone had the absolute best time at Confidence Learning Center for our annual August day of fun! From ziplining, archery, and visiting the animal sanctuary to boat rides, tie-dye, and sno cones at the beach, it was truly a spectacular day of adventure, connection, and pure joy. 🏹🛶🍧

A massive thank you to our incredible staff! Your dedication, energy, and care made sure everyone stayed safe, included, and smiling from start to finish. We couldn't do this without you! 🤝❤️

We love this yearly tradition and the wonderful memories we make together. Thank you to everyone at Camp Confidence for hosting another unforgettable day! 💙

☀️ Nothing beats summer baseball! Our crew had the best time catching a St. Cloud Rox game! ⚾️

There is nothing quite like a summer evening at Joe Faber Field. Everyone had an absolute blast cheering on the Rox, enjoying ballpark snacks, and soaking up the community fun together.

Keeping the people we support active, engaged, and thriving in the community is at the absolute heart of what we do. Big thanks to the amazing staff who helped make this game day happen! 💙

🌟 Growing with OMI: Congrats on your promotion, Enmary! 🌟

Enmary has been with us for nearly a year and shows incredible promise. He loves keeping the guys active—whether they are out for walks, playing games, or grabbing a bite to eat.

What makes Enmary truly special is his creativity. He has a wonderful way of making necessary health and daily tasks comfortable and encouraging for our residents. Enmary is reliable, dedicated, flexible, and has always been fantastic about picking up shifts and helping out his co-workers when needed.
