The Rotary Club of Santa Rosa’s next meeting is Wednesday, August 19, 2026. We meet at the Iron and Vine Restaurant at the Bennett Valley Golf Course, 3330 Yulupa Avenue, Santa Rosa. Lunch starts at 12:00pm and the program begins at 12:30pm. $37.00 Cost to attend. This week: Veterans for Peace – The Golden Rule Project

Michelle Marsonett will discuss the Veterans for Peace, Golden Rule Project. She is a peace activist and the Project Manager for an anti-nuclear and disarmament initiative. She is known for her work coordinating the voyages and educational tours of the Golden Rule, a historic 34-foot wooden peace ketch.

Michelle with Proclamation – VFP Golden Rule Project. The Golden Rule anti-nuclear sailboat, is a national project of Veterans For Peace which has spent many months sailing around San Francisco Bay, visiting multiple cities, holding a wide variety of events.

The 34-foot wooden ketch, which famously attempted to stop U.S. nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands in 1958, arrived at Pier 39 on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf almost a year ago.
