Oct 8 Update | A Flood Watch has been issued for all of East Central Florida in late this evening. Scattered to numerous showers & storms will be capable of locally high rainfall amounts of 5-7", which combined with recent rainfall, could lead to instances of flash flooding.

When a storm threatens Florida & evacuation orders are issued, gas stations can get busy fast, leading to longer lines & potential fuel shortages.

Become a trained SKYWARN Spotter with the US National Weather Service Melbourne Florida SKYWARN Spotter Training. SKYWARN spotters play an important role in the NWS warning and forecasting process by providing timely, on-the-ground information during severe weather events.

Participants will learn about:
📢 Thunderstorm structure and development
📢 Severe weather hazards
📢 Florida weather safety
📢 Reporting real-time weather conditions to the NWS

- They will never ask for your nine-digit registration number, bank account information, or credit card information.
