Cub Scout Pack 196 - Winter Springs

Pack 196 & Troop 196, along with the help of members of Seminole County Fire Department, did our annual Placement of American Flags, Crosses, and Stars of David at All Faiths Cemetery in Casselberry for the Memorial Day weekend to honor those who served and passed and those who made the ultimate sacrifice during their time in service.
Our special help from SCFD came from an Eagle Scout alum with Troop 196 who is now a Seminole County Firefighter. This was his Eagle Scout Project from over 10 years ago that he continued then. ⚜️🇺🇲🦅

Thank you very much to all who came out to assist in this meaningful purpose. We will pick back up and store the flags, Crosses, and Stars after Memorial day and preserve for next year. Unfortunately, every year we need more flags and crosses built. Donations are much appreciated for building more and keeping up with the unfortunate demand. God bless everyone and thank you for all the support. ❤️🤍💙

Tonight, our scouts did a 2 part Conservation Project by walking around the entire outside grounds of the VFW and picked up all the trash they could find, big and small. This will continue to protect our nature and the animals in and around it. They also created a homemade bird feeder using reusable materials to bring more birds to the area around us! Great Job Pack! ♻️🌎⚜️💚💙

A couple of our Pack 196 members came out to volunteer at a packing event for Kids In Support Of Soldiers (KISS), an organization that sends care packages to military members serving overseas. We have had a few other volunteers from our Pack in the past and its always good to see our scouts helping out where they can! Our Cubmaster is a part of this organization as well. Thank you!

Our Pack's Scoutsgiving 2025! Our parents brought some amazing dishes for us to share and we had a wonderful night getting awards, feasting, and watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving! We will see you all in 2 weeks! We wish everyone a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving! 🍁🦃🧡
