Last call for any volunteers who would like to help us sell Lemon Shake-Ups at the Sandwich Fair to support Open Door. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up, it is going to be a great year!
We would still appreciate some help on these shifts:
Wednesday Sept 9th 7pm-10pm
Thursday Sept 10th 1pm-4pm
Friday Sept 11th 4pm-7pm
Sunday Sept 13th 9:45am-1pm & 4pm-7pm

SWIMMING SUIT CONTEST!!

Who says you need a pool to have a swimming suit contest? 😄

We had such a blast getting creative with our larger-than-life paper swimsuit cutouts, leis, and hula skirts for a fun-filled swimming suit contest! From colorful designs to big personalities, everyone brought their own style to the “runway.”

What a fun time was had at the Kane County Cougars game! Austin proudly represented Open Door by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, and everyone was cheering him on! Everyone got their tummies full with a choice of brat, burger, or hot dog, along with chips and a drink, plus a souvenir baseball cap! Even though it rained, it didn’t dampen our spirits. We had a great time!

A few of us went to Arts on Fire Plano "Paint Your Own Pottery" this week. We got to pick out a piece of pottery and paint it. Everyone enjoyed expressing their creativity and making something special to take home.

It's almost that time of year again! Open Door is planning for their annual lemon shake-up stand at the Sandwich Fair!! We are in need of some AWESOME volunteers to help run the stand.
