We are sad to report that Indian Valley Theatre has decided to not be part of the Melodramas at the Sandwich Fair this year. This was not an easy decision by any means and we certainly do not want to give up on the 40 plus years performing at the Sandwich Fair. Our decision was based on the fact that we do not have shows or directors lined up. We have also had a hard time casting enough people for the shows and getting enough help with loading, building sets as well as working the tents daily. This does not mean that we won't try to come back but we need to take this year off and try to regroup.

We understand that this is going to upset many people who performed and enjoyed watching each year so IVT would like to be proactive on getting back at the Fair in 2027!! IVT would like to hold a town hall meeting after the Fair to see how many people we can get to be involved and join a committee to keep this alive. We encourage anyone willing to help to become a member and be part of our decision making processes at our membership meetings. We appreciate your understanding in this decision and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us.

We have A LOT more events and opportunities coming up soon so please stay tuned to our workshops performances coming up as well as auditions for our next season at the Sandwich Opera House!

The 2026 Summer Teen Workshop sign up is LIVE!
This year our teens will perform "This Murder was Staged" written by Patrick Greene and Jason Pizzarello.

It's opening night of a brand-new mystery play, but just as the killer is about to be revealed, the body of the play's director falls onstage instead. In that moment, the theater becomes an active crime scene, and everyone from cast to crew to even the audience becomes a suspect. But how is the intrepid detective supposed to find the killer when everyone and their mother (literally) has a motive to want the demanding director gone? Join us in their murder mystery comedy this summer to unravel the story!

Class Schedule: July 13-24th (Mon-Fri), 9 am - 3 pm and performances are both on Saturday the 25th. There will be a lunch break from 12-12:45pm. Students are responsible for their own lunch. PLEASE NOTE- We are limiting the sign up to 40 students!

Performances- July 25th at 2pm and 6pm
Location: All classes are at the Sandwich Opera House
Cost:$100 per student
Ages: For students entering 7th grade-just 2026 Highschool graduates.
Attendance: Students are expected to attend all classes and final student performances
