A huge thank you to everyone who helped make last Saturday’s 10th Annual 5K & 10K Run/Walk & Wellness Fair such a tremendous success!

We were thrilled to welcome more than 400 runners and walkers, host 23 wellness fair vendors, and offer yoga sessions and community connection activities throughout the day.

Special recognition to the Enriquez Family and Stride for Awareness for their partnership with PAL over the past decade. Your unwavering commitment to promoting health, wellness, and mental health awareness in our community has made a lasting impact and continues to inspire us all.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Vern Glenn for serving as our Master of Ceremonies, and to San Mateo Police Department Chief Ed Barberini for being his trusted sidekick and helping keep the energy high throughout the event.

To our sponsors, vendors, staff, volunteers, and participants - thank you. Your enthusiasm, support, and dedication helped create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved, and your positive energy was truly contagious.

Thank you again for being part of this special milestone event. We can’t wait to see you next year!

It was long day for our Cadets, but a good one. Up since 3:30am, they made the trek to El Dorado County, where they participated in a Regional Explorers Training Day hosted by the - Placerville Office. The full day of training gave them hands-on experience in mock law enforcement scenarios. This is where the learn, learn from mistakes, and put practice into performance; all while learning valuable leadership and teamwork skills.

We were happy to see fellow San Mateo County Cadets from Redwood City, South San Francisco, Colma, and San Bruno PD’s there as well.
