San Mateo Parents Club

San Mateo Parents Club San Mateo Parents Club is a community of parents with kids from birth to kindergarten age (or currently expecting) in San Mateo and surrounding areas.

We are a group who encourage friendship, support, and advice. The club was founded in 1991 and now has a membership of over 300 families. We know that raising young children can be a challenge and we strive to create a community of young families where a diverse collection of women can form friendships, share advice, and have a good laugh. We believe in contributing to our local community and have

an active outreach program. We also offer a range of activities like playgroups, adult socials, general meetings, in-a-pinch services for moms who have just delivered a baby, and a whole lot more! If you're interested in joining, please visit www.sanmateomothersclub.org to request an invitation.

Join us for a thoughtful and engaging discussion of No-Drama Discipline by Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson. This insightful book explores how to approach discipline in a way that nurtures connection, emotional intelligence, and long-term growth rather than conflict and punishment.

At this meeting, we’ll share key takeaways, reflect on real-life parenting moments, and discuss practical strategies for responding to children with empathy while still setting clear boundaries. Whether you’ve finished the book or are just getting started, all perspectives are welcome. Come ready to connect, learn, and support one another in building calmer, more respectful relationships with our kids.
