Special Storytelling WORKSHOP coming up on Tue, Nov 9th, at 7pm!

By mastering *behavioural interviewing*, an increasingly common interview technique used to predict how well you'll do in your new job. In this workshop, you'll learn how to tackle these tricky questions by using the STAR technique of storytelling so you can wow your interviewer with your confidence and poise and land the job of your dreams!

Bio
Stewart Murrie is a San Francisco-based product designer, speaker, and coach. A Toastmaster for the last 9 years, he has served in a variety of leadership roles at both club and district level and has appeared in six District content finals. In 2017 he won the D4 Evaluation Contest, the same year in which he was honoured as the District 4 Toastmaster of the Year. He is a founding member of San Francisco Storytellers where he led the creation of their storytelling curriculum, and is frequently asked to facilitate workshops on storytelling, evaluations, and creative thinking.

A: The Story Lab is a facilitated storytelling event where each participant benefits by sharing a personal story. It's not a lecture. It is an event where participants go to breakout rooms to tell and hear stories.

Q: What is the purpose of the Story Lab?
A: To experience the benefits of storytelling, the connection that story creates, and understand the power of one's own personal story. This experience can show you how a story is working and provide insight into how it can be improved.

Q: Is the Story Lab recorded?
A: No, it is not recorded. The confidentiality of each teller is honored by keeping the stories told in the room limited to those who are present.
