Aloha! Our North County center celebrated the end of Summer with a Luau and Bingo. A live Hawaiian 🌺 band entertained staff and consumers while they enjoyed refreshing icees. Prizes were given for the best Hawaiian Dressed. Mahalo to everyone who participated and thank you UCP North County for the fun! 🏝️

Yesterday, our team was part of the South County SELPA Special Education Resource Fair. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with families, educators, and community partners to share resources and strengthen the network of support for individuals with disabilities. UCP San Diego was very sad to hear of the passing of former Charger Billy Ray Smith. We had a wonderful friendship and business relationship with BR. He was very instrumental in helping us with our telethons raising thousands of dollars for our organization. It was during this telethon that took place at KGTV Channel 10 where he met the beautiful anchor Kimberly Hunt. They would later marry in 1990 and have a beautiful daughter Savannah. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to the entire family.
