Keeping families moving—and vehicles clean!

We are so grateful to Superstar Car Wash for helping keep our Miracle Babies transportation vehicles clean and ready to serve the families who need them most.

Through our Transportation Program, we help NICU families get from their homes to the hospital to be by their baby’s bedside—and safely back home again. During an incredibly difficult time, having reliable transportation is one less thing for families to worry about. And having a clean, well-maintained vehicle makes every ride a little more comfortable.

Most people do not think about how a NICU family gets to the hospital every single day for weeks or months. Our Orange County, transportation program, launched in February through Lyft concierge with UCI Medical Center, exists because too many families were choosing between a ride and groceries. This is not an abstract cost. A family visiting daily for a 60 day and I see you stay can face thousands of dollars and rideshare or gas costs. They did not budget for, on top of medical bills. They did not choose. Every ride fund is a parent who gets to be at their babies’s bedside instead of finding a way to afford getting there.

National Parent’s Day is not really a holiday for the parents we serve. It is a quiet acknowledgment of something. They already know: that they carried more than most people ever will, on a timeline they did not choose.

To every parent who sat bedside through a NICU stay, he learned to navigate rides, referrals, and a hospital system they never asked to understand, we see the strength this required, and we do not take it for granted.

Thank you for showing up for your baby, every single day.
